A Multi-year Partnership

The Visit Rwanda x Basketball Africa League multi-year partnership will see Rwanda positioned as a continental hub for sporting events and sports-based tourism. As part of the agreement, Rwanda will host the first-ever Basketball Africa League tournament at the Kigali Arena from 16-30 May 2021.

The partnership between Visit Rwanda and the Basketball Africa League will leverage two popular brands to grow awareness of Rwanda as a tourism and sporting events destination and BAL as the continent’s premiere basketball league.

Promoting Tourism and Sporting Events

This exciting partnership will promote tourism to Rwanda and position the country as a hub for sporting events and sports tourism, as well as develop the skills of Rwandan basketball players, coaches and administrators.

We want to give the global basketball community and the world an opportunity to experience Rwanda’s breath-taking beauty, growing potential as a sports hub, creative culture, innovative environment, modern and distinctive Made in Rwanda products and its openness to welcome business partnerships.
